What we collect
Our pages are served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they find the site. It sets first-party cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and referring site. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use advertising trackers and do not sell personal information. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use our pages, such as where they click and how far they scroll, so we can fix pages that are hard to use. Clarity records page interactions and creates heatmaps and session replays. It masks text you type, such as an email address, and uses cookies to tell visits apart. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement. You can block it by blocking cookies or using a tracker blocker.
Email signups
If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date, the page you signed up on and the wording you agreed to. We use it only to email you about new rare earth companies and guides, at most once a week. Every email will have an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. To limit abuse we keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for a day; we cannot turn it back into the address.
If you email us, we keep your message and address only to reply and to follow up on corrections you send.
